Going to the Prom

Going to the Prom !

This was my first double Coach Tour for EF. My wonderful Professional,  funny and lovely colleague Phe  and I exchanged coaches every day, This meant all the guests (78 in total ) benefitted  from  both perspectives  and style as well as enjoy our very different accents ! (Phe is from London & of course I have a very definite Irish , Cork / Limerick accent )

London City Tour was our challenge for today, and quite a challenge it is to navigate our way, by coach, through the busy streets! Our London City Guide was Alan, who is quite “at home” meandering through the city streets.

Following a  quick stop at St. Pauls there was a rush to Buckingham Palace to view the “Changing of the Guard”, this great spectacle that occurs daily.  For many of our guests this will be their very first experience of such an event and also an opportunity to be so close to the Royal Residence. The Royal Standard  (Flag ) is flown at royal residences only when the sovereign is present. However   Her Royal Highness although in residence this day she was just a tad too busy to stop and chat with us ! But Definitely Next Time !!!

Once the “Blues &  Royals “ had left us Alan started to lead the group away towards our awaiting coach.  I stayed at the rear of the group, just  to make sure that we had everyone and was I rewarded by being a witness to what happened next,…..

One of the students, Layne took his fellow student, Samantha aside and produced a very large poster bearing the words :

I know I am  NO

Prince  Harry

But maybe we could

PROM TOGETHER….. & Samantha said YES

What a lovely moment to be included in & I caught  it on film ! The happiness of these very young couple was infectious to all around them and I truly appreciate and greatly admire all the courage Layne had demanded off  himself to  carry this through !

They returned home with a photographic memento !
